The mission of the program: training of competent students with theoretical knowledge, practical and language skills necessary for enrollment and completion of training on the bachelor's program at EI "Almaty Management University".
The basis for studying on the program is a certificate of school education (for the Bachelor's program), a university diploma (for the Master's program).
Foundation –
The program is provided in 3 languages: Kazakh, English, and Russian, depending on the student's choice of the next language of study in the bachelor's and master's degree programs of all specialties of EI "Almaty Management University".
The duration of the program is 6 weeks. Training under the program takes place in the summer vacation period: annually from July 16 to August 24. Dates of classes may vary according to the academic calendar.
The academic performance of a foreign student is essential for completion of training, the results of the entire training program must be at least GPA 2.8.
In case of awarding the grant of “MegaChance” international competition, the grant holder must provide supporting documents. “MegaChance” grant holders are not released from taking entrance exams for the Foundation program.

* At the moment, there is no standardized test to determine the level of knowledge and proficiency in the Kazakh language for foreign students. KazTest is designed to determine the level of knowledge and proficiency in the Kazakh language for citizens of Kazakhstan.
Requirements for mastering mathematical and logical knowledge and skills for students of "Foundation for foreign students" program
To test students' knowledge, a test on residual knowledge of the school mathematics program will be conducted. The test contains 30 questions (each question 1 point). If the student scores 23 or more points, he/she is exempt from passing Mathematics Block in the framework of the Foundation program.
Requirements for the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the field of information and communication technologies for students of the Foundation program
To test students ' knowledge, a test on residual knowledge of the school Informatics program will be conducted. The test contains 30 questions (each question 1 point). If the student scores 23 or more points, he/she is exempt from passing "Information Systems” Block in the framework of the Foundation program.
Training on the Foundation program is primarily intellectual work, from the students of the program requires significant individual efforts and personal commitments to fulfill all the requirements of the program.
The Foundation program is implemented in the framework of full-time education and consists of 4 educational blocks:
1.Math Block
Covers most of the school curriculum from grades 8-11.
The main topics to be covered during the training are: rational expressions: integers and fractions; the basic property of a fraction; function y = k/x: its graph and properties at k<0 and k>0; rational numbers; irrational numbers; square roots; function y=√x: graph and properties; equation x^2 = a: all kinds of solutions and graph; function: definition area and value area of functions; function y=x^n: linear function, quadratic, cubic and y=1/x; properties of sine, cosine, tangent and cotangent; trigonometric functions of their properties; trigonometric equations and ways to solve them; Newton's formula; irrational equations; integrals; logarithms and their properties; differential equations, etc.
3.“Information Systems” Block
Covers most of the school curriculum from grades 9-11.
The main topics that will be covered during the training: subject, objects, and components of ICT; computer structure; presentation of data in a PC; basic information about software; operating systems; application software; database management systems; General information about computer networks; networks and telecommunications; basics of information security.
3. Cultural-Adaptive Block
Includes a visit to the main attractions of Almaty, including museums, art galleries, theaters, cinemas, etc. Cultural-Adaptive Block promotes cultural and language adaptation, foreign students can learn more about Kazakh history, culture, and language. Also, training on the Foundation program gives the opportunity to familiarize with the documents and formal procedures necessary for the residence of foreign citizens in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
